Tampa, FL (January 6, 2023) – GiGi’s Playhouse Tampa ambassadors who were born with Down syndrome will get the movie star treatment at the 5th Annual Dunedin Film Festival January 15th, (DIFF) with a stretch limo ride to The Fenway Hotel where paparazzi will greet them on the Red Carpet. The DIFF Awards Ceremony will follow where the music video, “It’s Game Time” in which they are cast, is an “Official Selection” and nominated for “Best Score.”
Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, retired Tampa Bay Buccaneer Michael Clayton, Brooks-DeBartolo Collegiate High School student body and its Phoenix mascot; and the Gaither High School Cowboy mascot, are among those also featured in the music video. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays organizations are represented, as well. “We are pleased to be involved with this inspirational project that showcases the talents of our participants, while bringing awareness to GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome achievement center that provides free services to the community,” says Michael Sullivan, Board President, GiGi’s Playhouse Tampa.
The upbeat, hip-hop sports anthem music video produced by Tampa Filmmaker Renee Warmack captures the “Champa Bay” winning spirit, and diverse, scenic Tampa Bay community. “As a filmmaker, I get free admission into the festival, but really wanted the Cast to enjoy it with me. I appreciate the community sponsors who’ve stepped up to help make this a festive occasion for the Cast members and their families, who deserve nothing less than the VIP treatment.”
