Young Black Dancer Connects with Elderly White Woman in Wheelchair

October 6, 2018 By Renee Warmack

Last night at my production, The Art of Women: A Celebration of Diversity, Oct. 5, 2018, in Tampa, Florida THIS dance across the “racial, age and disabilities” divide randomly happened.

The 93 year old, wheel-chair bound mother, Evelyn Bowman, attended the event. She was there to support her Weeki Wachee Springs State Park Mermaid, Susie Pennoyer.

Pennoyer was part of the female art expose created by Renee Warmack Productions, LLC. In a loud night club setting, Bowman wheeled herself onto the dance floor where Ashley Briscoe was dancing alone. Briscoe took notice and moved closer to Bowman. Briscoe entertained Bowman with a dance performance resulting in Bowman extending her hands upward from her wheelchair.

With the two strangers connected, Briscoe continued to dance.

WATCH this priceless moment below:

This moment epitomizes what this country needs and my vision for my production in Tampa, Florida. CNN, #MSNBC, Fox News, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres do you hear us?

This video was captured by the DJ I hired – the fab DJ Shannon C.
