COVID19 and Because of Sam The Movie
If you know me you know I’ve faced some pretty daunting obstacles throughout my life.
I scrapped my way through them – and you know I rarely quit.
Now is no exception.
Many of you may have had a similar path and can relate. And I know our star of Because of Sam, Sam Piazza sure has, too.
This COVID19 situation is hard but one of my top priorities has been and still remains sharing Sam’s story to help change how the world views people with disabilities, through Because of Sam.
I also have always felt (since 2009 when I learned of Sam’s story) a deep passion (which made me determined to get the movie made) for giving Sam and his family the honor they deserve of showcasing their testimony of courage and love through the movie.
Sadly, some confirmed, underwritten movie screenings and a cool tv interview we had lined up have been impacted by COVID19. We hope they will be rescheduled when things return to normal.
We are still accepting movie screening bookings/talks requests, but can’t show the movie in groups at this time, of course.
Many schools and people are home watching more online movies and it is a dream to get Because of Sam set up to be able to touch lives all across the globe.
We are working hard on getting the movie prepared for possible video on demand rental (VOD), but that takes more funding to establish enhanced licensing.
We appreciate all who have contributed previously and we do have faith that the future holds great promise.
