Karen Brown’s Bio
Karen is an award-winning interior designer and has created beautiful spaces for clients for over 20 years.
With her unique vision, she uses ordinary elements in an unexpected fashion, earning her an “out-of-the-box” reputation.
Also an accomplished writer, painter and filmmaker, Brown is now focusing her artistic eye on jewelry. She compiles seemingly disparate elements into original, striking collections known as Kissing Bee Mashups. Utilizing her treasure trove of interior design project leftovers, hardware store finds and vintage jewelry components she combines them with natural elements such as pearls, shells, abalone and silver to fabricate one-of-a-kind creations. Her jewelry creations have been shown in juried exhibitions at the Dunedin Fine Art Center and can be purchased online at www.etsy.com/shop/kissingbeemashups.
