Happy Independence Day!

July 4, 2020 By Renee Warmack

Happy 4th of July! Do You Have a Personal Independence Day Story?

Happy 4th of JulyOur break from British rule certainly was a turning point for our country. It was such a momentous occasion that, as you know, many celebrate it with fireworks, feasts, and fun.

Have you ever felt an “independence day” or wanted to celebrate a break from being held back?

Well, I sure have… from bad jobs, relationships, a boring career path and bad bosses (yep, I’ve had more than one).

We sometimes look around at our current situation and compare it to other people and talk ourselves into DE-pendance on the things that don’t serve us and we ultimately feel helpless.

That’s a common feeling that can creep up on all of us—and is one of the reasons I created the Power Hack® Playbook online success course.

When I say I’ve been using my tried and true 4 Step Power Hack® process my whole life, it isn’t just lip service… I really mean it.

I just didn’t know it and it didn’t have a fancy, trademarked name back then…

I would repeatedly go through this cycle of steps to do things like get more education, change careers, and make successful movies:

  1. Acknowledge that Change is Needed (Flip the Switch)
  2. Create a Colorful, Vivid Vision
  3. Establish a Fierce Belief in Your Vision
  4. Take Bold Action

Here’s a specific example that I hope will inspire you and give you a boost:

At an early age I “flipped the switch” to rise above the norm in my family…

I knew I wanted more education than my family members had attained. My parents are very smart and got high school diplomas and had careers that paid our bills, but I wanted more.

Times had changed and extra schooling mattered more than when they were growing up.

So, I created a clear, vision that I would go to college on sports scholarships because I knew my family couldn’t afford to pay for me to attend…

I set out to focus on tennis, which was a rich person’s sport when it comes to making college tennis teams… we didn’t have money but I had a passion and the desire to make my dream come true. The University of South Florida was in my hometown of Tampa and had a good NCAA Division I team, so I set my sites on playing there.

My belief that I could attain my goal was galvanized as I surrounded myself with people and things that supported my belief.

We couldn’t afford a country club membership or a bunch of formal lessons, so I read tennis books and hung out at the local playground where there were tennis courts and park directors that encouraged me.

I told everyone about my dream and felt encouraged by family, friends, and teachers who saw my potential.

Their encouragement helped me have faith in my dream.

I took bold action to learn tennis and practiced my strokes by hitting on a wall at the playground, served balls from a basket, and played with adults who were better than me (which was humbling but the key way you get better at the game).

In high school, I was the top tennis player all three years and even won the district tennis championship at the #1 singles spot.

I continued with relentless, bold action by staying in touch with the coach at the University of South Florida where I was determined to play, and after successfully competing at the #1 spot in junior college on a scholarship, I played on a scholarship for the University of South Florida Bulls, for that same coach I hounded.

Accomplishing that goal and getting my college degree (and I even went back as an adult and got my master’s degree) is what helped me have a successful 20-year career working in the government.

I retired in 2017 and now use my inspirational movies, engaging events, and motivational coaching programs to help others claim their power and capture their dreams.

In 2020 I’m excited to now offer a formal, comprehensive game plan for you to use on your path to success that contains the 4 steps, the Power Hack® Playbook.

I hope you have a safe and happy Independence Day and boldly create history for yourself, as well.
