Desiree D’Alessandro – Featured Artist

Desiree is an international artist whose work spans a variety of media involving site-specific, installation, digital, and performative modes of production. Her interdisciplinary and experiential works emphasize the integration of art and life with main topics surrounding personal narrative, identity, memory, transformation, and transience. D’Alessandro’s explorations of process and understanding aim to provoke meaningful dialogue and bridge the relationship between the intimate and the social.
D’Alessandro earned her Master of Fine Arts in New Genres and Extended Praxes from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is currently employed as the Lead Teacher for the Art Department at Florida Virtual School.
