Have you been afraid of looking stupid or taking a chance on doing something incorrectly? I sure have… and I’ve had my share of failures, BUT, I’ve had many more successes.

Here’s why…

When I’m afraid to act, I have a little tip that works that I’d like to pass along to you.

Before getting on stage to speak, before pressing send on a big “ask” email or before I get on the phone with someone I feel intimidated by, I shut my eyes and take a breath… then I think, what is the worst that could happen?

What is the real fear I’m experiencing?

It’s being vulnerable, it’s looking silly, it’s making a mistake… I then think about those who I am advocating for and impacting with my inspirational movies, engaging events and motivational coaching program.

I own that the opportunity to help other people through my gifts is so worth the risk… that who am I to think I can’t be vulnerable, that I can’t be seen screwing up, or that I may look less than perfect… THEN, I OPEN MY EYES, TAKE ANOTHER BREATH >>> PRESS SEND, MAKE THE CALL, TURN ON THE MIC! BOOM!
